Seminar 7: The Politics of the Eucharist

DATE: Monday, 6 June, 2011

How does the Eucharist and Liturgy of the Church enter the space of politics? How does it engage us with the suffering of the world, and a confrontation with power?

For the seminar, I would like you to write me a 500 word answer to the following question, based on the discussions we have had in the past weeks, any further research and reading you may like to do, as well as the reading for this week:

What would you argue are the similarities and difference between the Church (as the Body of Christ) and a Nation?

Please email me your answer before class on Monday. The answers and class participation will count towards your evaluation.
